A plan is made

So I have decided to try and make a schedule for myself. I’m going through and cleaning the place, starting with the kitchen. Next will be the floors and bathroom.

The idea is that once I get it cleaned, if I keep up on it, things will be easier.
This is done not only for my peace of mind (you wouldn’t believe how much better it feels to see something clean, especially if you are the one that did it) but should be good to get me moving.

Every little bit helps.

How does this happen?

Gain. Do you know of anyone that has cut out stuff and gained weight? Ugh. Guess cutting out sweets and soda wasn’t such a good idea after all, weight wise. I was at least maintaining while having those.

Though perhaps it’s water retention. I have been craving salt a whole lot lately. And carbs (chips, pretzels).
That could be a factor. Need something snacky that isn’t so chip related, but fruit goes bad very quick around here for some reason. Bananas don’t last more than a couple days, apples might last a week in the fridge, grapes and berries 3-5 days.

Would love to get some yogurt but not enough room in the fridge for the single serving ones and the big tubs only come in plain/vanilla, which I’m not a fan of.

Gum is also starting to lose it’s effectiveness. Not only is it not working as well as it used to (to keep my hunger in check) but I’m also having to cut back on how much I use. I was at a point that I was getting headaches because of the aspartame (same as when I tried going diet soda, drinking as much as I was of regular, and decided it was best to just not have it around)

Rambling now, though it is my blog so what does it matter? Anyways I’ll let whoever you are that’s reading this go on with your day now.

Write it down

It seems to be one of the few things that everyone agrees on, keeping a journal is a good thing.

Whether it is a food journal, exercise journal, or just some thoughts it seems like keeping one helps you keep in mind your goals. A personal journal of thoughts and feelings can help one to understand what is going on at that point in their life. Food and exercise can help you notice what might need changing…and what to keep doing.

So with that in mind I’m keeping a record of what I’m eating, and this time keep on it even if I do waiver and indulge in a little too much chocolate or something. I’m also going to try and make more entries in my personal pen and paper journal (and perhaps here as well). As it is there are months sometimes between entries.

Getting healthy this year is more than just physical, it’s also mental. There is a symbiosis between the two and you can’t truly be healthy if one of those is out of sync.

This shall be a year of personal growth (and physical shrinking ;) ). I am going to give every effort I can to it.
